Dr. Annie Varughese is a highly renowned interventional cardiologist and
international speaker regarding the issues of Preventive Cardiology and of
Women and Heart Disease who practices the art of Cardiovascular
Medicine in the Houston, Woodlands and Conroe areas in the United
States of America. In 2011 Dr. Varughese was voted one of America’s Top
Cardiologists by the Consumer Research Council of America, she has
earned many other awards and accolades which include being a member of
Trademark’s Who’s Who Among Professionals in America. She is also
Executive Vice President for Professional Development of Best Docs
Network Houston Television Show and author of two books.

Dr. Varughese is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease, certified in
Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology and for many years has
held the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of
Texas Medical School at Houston. She attended the Medical College of
Georgia, Augusta, Georgia, USA, and subsequently completed her
residency in Internal Medicine as well as Fellowship in Cardiovascular
Diseases at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, USA.

Dr. Varughese pursued further training in Interventional Cardiology at The
Texas Heart Institute/Baylor College of Medicine and now has been in
private practice for the more than 20 years.
