Dr. Ayman Farhan completed his MBBCh and Masters in Critical Care medicine from Cairo University.
Dr. Aymans past experience spans 13 years. He worked for 4 years as a Specialist in critical care medicine and emergency medicine at the National Bank hospital, Cairo and 4 years as an ICU specialist at Zayed Military Hospital, UAE. In addition Dr. Ayman has experience of over 5 years working as a visiting specialist of cardiology at As Salam International Hospital and as a visiting specialist of Echocardiography and vascular ultrasonography in various other hospitals and medical centres in Cairo.
His areas of interest are endotracheal intubation, central venous line, arterial line, needle thoracentesis, temporary pacemaker insertion, ultrasound guided pericardiocentesis, chest tube insertion underwater seal.
Dr. Aymans emergency room experience comprises of Adult CPR, Mechanical ventilation, Road traffic accident and trauma life support, Burns and fluid resuscitation for various types of shock. Echocardiography on emergency basis to assess possible tamponade and pericardial effusion, cardiogenic shock due to mechanical complications post MI Vascular duplex (arterial and venous upper and lower limbs) for possible acute ischaemia and DVT, carotid duplex for cerebrovascular insufficiency and syncope.
Dr. Aymans has attended courses on Basic and Advanced Life support, Echocardiography training, vascular ultrasonography training and advanced course in mechanical ventilation by the European society of intensive care medicine. He is a certified in ALS by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and in ACLS by the American Heart Association (AHA).
He is fluent in speaking English and Arabic.
