Debashis Ghosh is one of London’s prestigious breast surgeons. He works
from the Royal Free Hospital in London and UCL Medical School which
houses one of the worlds foremost breast units.
Dr. Ghosh graduated from Grant Medical College, Bombay University, India
in 1991 with an MBBS (1st class honours). His Higher Specialist Training was
completed in Breast & Oncoplastic Surgery at University Hospitals of
Leicester, Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge & Peterborough. His post
CCT Fellowship was undertaken at the Royal Free Hospital London. He has
spent time in many leading European centres training as a Visiting Fellow and is currently at King’s College Hospital, Dubai.
He has the distinctive honour of holding a dual qualification from the
European Board of Surgery in Breast & Surgical Oncology.
Debashis Ghosh is actively involved in breast surgery research, including the
use of portable gamma camera for sentinel node biopsies. He is also
involved in trials using intraoperative radiotherapy, seed localisation and
