Dr. Mallikarjuna Jyothi completed his undergraduate degree(MBBS) from Yenepoya University, Mangalore in 2006 and he went on to pursue his Master degree (MD Anesthesiology) from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2009. He obtained DNB in Anesthesiology from Natinal Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2010. With deep interest in cardiac anesthesia, he obtained super specialization (DM Cardiac Anesthesiology) from one of the prestigious institute, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2015.

He started his journey in cardio thoracic anesthesia as Consultant at Narayan Hrudalaya Hospitals, Bangalore one of the biggest tertiary cardiac care center in India. Narayana Hrudalaya has 20 state of art cardiac operation theaters and 6 Cath labs and Hybrid OT. During his association with Narayana Hrudalaya, he was fortunate to work with two legends of cardiac surgery in India Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty (Chairman and Founder of Narayana Group of Hospitals) and Dr. P. V. Rao very well known personality in Valve Repairs and DORS (Ventricular Aneurysm) and gained lots of experience in the management of high risk cardiac cases like Pulmonary end arterectomy, Dissection of Aorta, Aortic aneurysms, Septal Myectomy, Valve repair/replacement, Mechanical circulatory assist devices like LVAD and ECMO.

His special interest includes anesthesia for Beating heart surgeries (OPCAB) and Minimal invasive cardiac surgeries (MICS) and Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiaography.

He is a member of Indian society of Anesthesia (ISA) and Indian Association of Cardio-thoracic Anesthesia (IACTA) and Indian Medical Association (IMA). He has keen interest in research and academic activities and has published papers in renowned journals. He participated and presented in various national and international cardiac anesthesia conferences workshops as faculty.
