Dr. Mustafa Albaroudi joins NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City as Consultant Paediatric Haematologist. Previously he was associated with Tawam Hospital, Al Ain and served as Director in Paediatric Haematology in Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, Ohio from 1987 to 2000.
Dr. Mustafa was awarded with several prestigious nominations, as Mahoning Valley’s Unsung Hero, Sickle Cell Support Group Appreciation Award in Youngstown, Ohio, Best Resident of the Year Award’ from Mercy Hospital, Chicago, etc. He was also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and a Member of the American Society of Paediatric Haematology Oncology (ASPHO).
Dr. Mustafa provides diagnostic and specialised care for children bellow 18 years of age with:
• Paediatric Oncology like Acute Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Brain Tumour, Renal Wilms Tumour, Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma, Neuroblastoma and Hepatoblastoma.
• Non-malignant blood diseases (Benign Paediatric Haematology) like Anaemia, Thalassaemia, Sickle Cell Disease, Neutropenia, ITP, Haemophilia, and other Bleeding disorders such as Platelet Function Defect and Congenital Thrombocytopenia.
• Post Bone Marrow and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (BMT).
Dr. Mustafa has published more than 12 articles and abstracts mostly case reports and he is a regional Speaker at both Oncology and Haematology Emirates Medical Societies Annual Meetings.
He is well versed in Arabic, English and French.
