Dr Peter Loizou is a Consultant ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon with over 10 years of experience in this specialty. He attended some of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious universities including Kings College London where he completed a degree in Human Biology BSc and went on to study Medicine at the University of Southampton. This was later followed by a Masters in Surgical Education from Imperial College London.

He completed his specialist training in the United Kingdom and received his Fellowship from the Royal College of
Surgeons of England (FRCS) and his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He went on to pursue further
sub-specialist training and completed a post-graduate fellowship in Advanced Head & Neck Surgery in Sydney, Australia and further Robotic surgery training in Florida, USA.

He is one of the few head and neck surgeons trained in the minimally invasive techniques of Transoral Laser
Microsurgery (TLM) and Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) for head and neck tumours.

Throughout his training he has been fascinated with the complex anatomy and function of the head and neck but also by its aesthetic harmony. He has undertaken further post-graduate training in Facial Aesthetics in London’s
World-renowned Harley Street.

He has actively participated in research and audit throughout his career leading to numerous publications in
peer-reviewed journals and also authored and co-authored book chapters in medical text books. This in turn lead to
work being presented at national and international conferences. He has also been a regular reviewer for the Royal
College of Surgeons of England Bulletin and Annals.

Dr Peter has always been enthusiastic about teaching and by integrating his clinical experience and his knowledge in
surgical education he has trained many junior doctors and surgical trainees. He has had the privilege to be invited as a
faculty member on numerous courses and workshops and also been an examiner for medical student OSCEs.
