Maintaining healthy teeth
A healthy set of teeth is clean with no cavities. Follow the steps below to practice good oral hygiene.
- The teeth should be brushed with a soft-bristled toothbrush twice a day.
- The teeth should be flossed at least once a day, preferably after brushing.
- A toothpaste that contains fluoride. Fluoride strengthens the enamel and prevents tooth decay.
- The toothbrush should be replaced every 3 to 4 months.
- Also, stay off sweets and sweetened drinks.
- Do away with smoking.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Visit the dentist for regular checkups.
