Preliminary Consultation: The consultation will help to introduce us to each other, get more information about our Agency and understand what type of service and program you need you will be able to ask any questions regarding the surrogacy procedure, surrogate mothers, egg donors, medical part, estimated costs and schedule of payments. We can discuss your planned arrival and stay in Georgia. We can provide you with access to our online egg donor database allowing you to select the egg donor who meets your criteria.
Arrival in Georgia : After your arrival in Georgia, we shall arrange an appointment at the IVF clinic where you shall meet your doctor in charge and fill in your Case History. When you are prepared to launch the program, we shall invite you to sign the contract which legally enables
Matching of Egg Donor & Surrogate Mother: The next step will be to make a final decision regarding surrogate mother and egg donor candidacies that meet your requirements. We can arrange for a meeting in case you are willing to meet your surrogate mother and egg donor.
Medical Screening: Medical examination of the surrogate mother and/or egg donor will be carried out in the clinic recommended by our Agency. The examination will reveal if the surrogate mother and/or egg donor are suitable for this program in terms of health indicators. And furthermore, the surrogate mother will undergo psychological testing. We are rechecking the background and living conditions of the surrogate mother several times.
Legal Aspects: During your stay in Georgia we shall arrange an appointment with a highly qualified notary, as in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Georgia, the contract between the couple and the surrogate mother and/or egg donor must be notarized. All the rights and obligations of all parties will be detailed in the contract, this will ensure the legal grounds for the due performance of commitments of all parties concerned.
Cycle : When the medical tests of surrogate mother and egg donor are done, both are prescribed birth control pills in order to synchronize the cycle. On cycle day 2 surrogate mother starts her medication preparation and egg donor – hormonal stimulation of ovaries. After pick up of the eggs, IVF/ICSI is performed with the embryo transfer to the uterus of the surrogate mother. The entire process, including examination, preparation, stimulation and embryo transfer, takes about six weeks.
Pregnancy & Delivery: Upon the positive result of ultrasonography, beginning with week 12, the surrogate mother is under the patronage of her personal gynaecologist for the duration of the pregnancy. Delivery of the baby/babies is performed in one of the best Maternity Houses in Georgia. The surrogate mother is visiting the hospital more frequently starting with week 36 as the doctor in charge controls the state of health of the baby/babies and the surrogate mother which enables all parties involved to be prepared for the delivery in due time.
Birth Certificate & Passport of baby: Within two or three days after delivery, we submit all the necessary documentation to the Georgian Civil Registry Office for obtaining the birth certificate of the baby/babies. Normally, the birth certificate is issued within two days after the submission of the documents. The birth certificate contains name of the baby and names of the Intended parents.
In case the Intended Parents need any document for submission to their embassy in order to obtain a passport(s) for the baby/babies, our Agency is ready to help and arrange the required document
The names of the surrogate mother and egg donor are not fixed in the birth certificate. Actually, the birth certificate of a baby born via surrogacy does not differ from the ordinary birth certificate of the baby born naturally. The birth certificate is translated into English and either notarized or Apostilled, depending on the requirements of the embassy concerned.
