Ayurveda
Ayurveda has originated from the Indian Sub-Continent about 4000 years B.C (from Indus Valley civilization) Ayurveda is the perfect ancient science of life. The word ‘ayur’ literally means life and ‘veda’ the science of knowledge.
The focus in Ayurveda is more on keeping you healthy rather than treatment. Ayurveda treatment usually starts with a purification process of the body, followed by a regimen of special diet, herbal remedies, massage, yoga, and meditation.
Ayurvedic practitioners believe every person is made of five basic elements found in the word: space, air, fire, water, and earth.
These elements combine in the human body to form three life forces called doshas. These doshas control the body. They are Vata dosha (space and air); Pitta dosha (fire and water); and Kapha dosha (water and earth).
