The superstar footballer had his twins using a surrogate in 2017. The twins Eva and Mateo were born in San Diego like their elder brother. The footballer did not share his reasons for choosing to have children through a surrogate. He just expressed his gratitude that he now had twins.
- Sarah Jessica Parker and Mathew Boderick
The couple expanded their family through a surrogate in 2009, when they welcomed their twin girls into their family. She explained that secondary infertility was the reason that they had chosen a surrogate as they had previously had a son through natural pregnancy.
- Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Kim had previously had two children through natural pregnancy, but subsequently, she had an issue called placenta accrete, which meant that another pregnancy would be fatal. This made her choose surrogacy for her subsequent pregnancies, having her last two children via the route

The couple offered no explanation as to why they chose surrogacy, but according to the Australian newspaper, the actress had been having fertility problems and had previously undergone IVF. Seeing as she was 43 years old at the time of the surrogacy, the risks of natural pregnancy are what probably made her choose a surrogate mother for her fourth child.

The couple sought surrogacy because Priyanka had medical complications, the actress believes that the surrogacy was a necessary step. She described the journey as lovely, funny and generous.
- Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
The reason that she gave for choosing surrogacy is due to the possibility that she would miscarry. This is because she had previously experienced multiple early-term miscarriages and she clearly wanted to avoid further disappointments.
- Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg
Jamie Chung stated in the media that she was afraid of pregnancy even though she wanted to have children. Also, she revealed that she was terrified of the risk that getting pregnant posed to her job. She felt it was possible to be easily forgotten if she did not get work within a month of her last job. She was one of the celebrities who was ashamed of her surrogacy. This was why she was private about her surrogacy for many months, only choosing to announce it a year later.

The couple spent about three years trying to have children through IVF before turning to surrogacy to have their twin boys. She recounts it as the most trying time of her life. They also reported that they grew close to their surrogate, Rachel who then gave birth to their second child, Elyssa in 2016.

After undergoing multiple rounds of IVF, Brewster and her then-husband decided to turn to surrogacy. However, she stated that she was initially ashamed and didn’t want to take maternity leave. She has since come out to deny that the reason for choosing surrogacy was to avoid gaining weight and losing her physical form.
- Robert de Niro
He was among the first celebrities that used surrogacy, and as a result, his twins were born. It is also curious that his wife couldn’t get pregnant for a long while and they divorced before their desired children were born. This didn’t affect their parenting capabilities as they became really good parents to the children. Robert De Niro, at 79, also recently welcomed another baby via surrogacy.
