Dr. Deepak Pillai currently serves as Consultant Nephrologist in NMC group of hospitals in Abu Dhabi.

His goal of practice is to pursue evidence based approach in the multiple facets of renal care including kidney transplantation, renal replacement therapy, clinical nephrology and critical care nephrology. Dr. Deepak Pillai completed his Internal medicine and Nephrology training from India. He augmented his training with North American fellowship in Adult Nephrology from University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Deepak Pillai has an experience in Nephrology of over 12 years. He has served in Specialist and Consultant positions in Moulana Superspeciality Hospital, Perinthalmanna, Kerala, India, Hamed Al Essa Organ Transplant Centre, Kuwait and Cosmopolitan Hospitals, Trivandrum, India.
His areas of interest are Critical care nephrology, Dyselectrolytemias, Glomerular diseases, Interventional nephrology, Nocturnal hemodialysis and Transplant nephrology.
Dr. Deepak is interested in academic pursuit and keeps himself abreast of the updates in Nephrology by attending national and international conferences. He has won gold medals in medicine and surgery during his graduate course and was awarded the second best outgoing student. He has a passion for teaching and firmly believes that knowledge gets its true value only when it is passed on.
