Dr. Olujimi Coker is currently the Chief Medical Director for Lagoon Hospitals, and also the Chief of Surgery, having qualified from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He had his specialist surgical training in the United Kingdom with basic surgical training in Greater Manchester and higher surgical training in South Yorkshire based around the Sheffield University Teaching Hospitals.
Dr Coker is is highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, and his specialist interests include advanced laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, hernias, appendicitis and colorectal cancer. He is an expert in the management of haemorrhoids, anal prolapse, complex anal fistulas and fissures.
He is a member of Royal Society of Medicine, Association of Surgeons of GB & Ireland East Midlands Surgical Society, Nairobi Colorectal Society, amongst others.
Dr. Coker is also the President of the Laparoscopic Surgery Society of Nigeria.
