Dr. Wael Hafez

Dr. Wael Hafez obtained his MBBCH from Zagazig Medical School of medicine in Egypt and has his Master degree and Doctorate degree from Cairo University. He has more than 14 years of experience in Internal Medicine diseases.
Dr. Wael has extensively trained in the largest university hospitals in the Middle East (Cairo University hospitals-New kasr Elaini Educational Hospitals) and one of the most prestigious hospitals (AL-Salam international hospital -the largest private hospital in Egypt). Dr. Wael was working as Consultant of Internal Medicine diseases in Egypt.
His areas of interest includes the management of vitamin D deficiency, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, asthma, thyroid disorders, Gastrointestinal and infectious diseases.
Dr. Wael documented his vision for healthier gulf in his book (Non-communicable diseases programme in gulf states that was discussed in MUSCAT CONFERENCE for NCD INITIATIVES in 5/2014. Also he had managed more than 20,000 cases in Sultanate of Oman) before transferring to UAE.
Dr. Wael is active in researches. He has many publications and presentations in different conferences, and international journals. (Ex: 1. Study of the role of HLA and KIR genotypes on the outcome of HCV infection. Published in (Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 6(10): 696-700, 2012). 2. Impact of HLA-class I alleles on response to HCV treatment in a cohort of Egyptian patients. Published in: (Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (2014).
